This is a physically demanding course and you must have a baseline of fitness to participate.  (Read article here)

• Zeroing/confirming zero on all optics and lasers (and iron sights if needed)
• Engagement of low-percentage targets (small strike area often obscured with a hostage or other no-shoot area)
• Target engagement into critical areas, freestyle, strong hand only, and weak hand only with a high hit probability, regardless of distance.

End State:

• The student will understand the importance of critical hits and the consequences of a miss and will be able to diagnose if they are capable of achieving hits at any given moment based upon pre-shot diagnostics of their sights in real-time.
• The student will be enabled to continue developing and maintaining these skills through the use of clear, repeatable standards.
• The students should leave the course with a firm understanding of their personal capability to make low-percentage “No-Fail” shots.

Specifics that will be covered by Bill:

• Weapons retention Shooting
• Blade deployment and targeting 
• Striking with elbows hands heads and knees
• Transitioning seamlessly from striking to weapons deployments
• Get off the x drill
• Counter gun stand up grappling, weapons deployment, and striking

Jointly there will be mindset discussions as well as talks on the why's of targeting and weapons selection.

About Chuck Pressburg:

SGM(R) Pressburg retired from the US Army on January 1, 2017 after 26 years of active service, mostly in Special Operations and Special Missions Units. After Infantry and Airborne Training in 1990, Chuck completed the Ranger Indoctrination Program and was assigned to the 1st Bn, 75th Ranger Regiment.

About the Instructor, Bill Rapier
Bill Rapier is the owner and lead instructor of American Tactical Shooting Instruction LLC, also known as Amtac Shooting. He is recently retired after twenty years in the Navy, where his duty assignments included several years at SEAL Team 3 and over 14 years at Naval Special Warfare Development Group. Positions held include assaulter, breacher, sniper, team leader, troop chief and military working dog department senior enlisted adviser. He has always been an avid shooter and is heavily involved in combatives.

• Handgun, full size or compact (I am running a Walther full size 4 in with MRDS)
• 5 standard capacity magazines (10 magazines if you have to shoot reduced capacity magazines)
• Holster, I recommend an inside the waistband holster all kydex style (Blackpointtactical.com “FO3”, or OWB holster)
• Aluminum training blade (Northman, Sayoc, Atienza or Headhunter Blades)
• Non-firing pistol shape or SIRT pistol
• Clothing that is typical of your everyday dress, but ones that you don't mind getting dirty
• Eye and ear protection
• Spare parts/ oil for pistol
• 1400 rounds of training ammo
• Hat, sunscreen, water, snacks
